Poesia published

Poetry time. A new poem is released into the world, with thanks to Writing in a Woman’s Voice. I am, of course, always ecstatic to have my work accepted and published, but there is a slight twinge here. I have a different draft of this piece sitting in a folder, and I happen to prefer it over the now published version. One day, perhaps, this preferred draft will go into a collection, or I can release it beside the published version. Or, I will completely rewrite the unpublished poem so it is no longer a version of something, but has become entirely its own thing. This is why no piece of writing is ever done, except when they are chiselled into stone I suppose. Aaaaannnd now I have an idea for a story. Damnit. I am going to have to go away and write something new.

Anyway, here is the link to my poem.

I have just completed working with editors on a story which will be published in April, and I was invited to write a lil something as a previous contributor to a journal. In addition, there are the usual tasks: working on old things, writing new things, searching for places for all the things. Waiting for replies about submitted things.

So many things.
