In news to hand (via email), and in a nice surprise, the folk at Lothlorien Poetry Journal have just accepted and at the same time published two of my poems. A tiny part of teen me is screaming at being published somewhere called Lothlorien. I’m reeling a bit, but extremely happy these pieces found a home. Just as I was about to prepare ahead of June’s scheduled publications, May has snuck in near the end with this unexpected success.
As for the poems? One I first drafted in about 2002 and is a nature poem, and the other is an ekphrastic poem I first composed in 2019. They have gone through iterations and edits, but here and now I think they are both at their best. And I can rest them, at last.
